The Office of Research Development (ORD) is a unit under the AVP-ORSP that assists faculty in preparing high-quality competitive proposals to external sponsors. ORD provides guidance, training, and assistance to faculty in identifying funding sources and promotes institutional programming and grant development.  

What is Research Development?

Services

The Research Development team is tasked with overseeing extensive proposal development efforts and offering resources and support to faculty throughout the colleges of CSUF to increase the competitiveness of proposals through grantsmanship, with a focus on strategic ideas. These proposals can apply to other projects, contingent on the discipline or particular circumstances, but they typically involve big, multi-PI, and multidisciplinary initiatives.
